Dressed for somewhere else entirely, he stands among stored furniture, industrial remnants, and gilded foliage, carrying both a handbag and the unmistakable air of someone who knows where he is going. Yet the mask keeps certainty just out of reach. Is he arriving, departing, leading, or simply posing as someone who might? In a series built around gathering, his solitude gives individuality its own weight. The Weight of Flowers makes room for this contradiction: the desire to belong alongside the equally necessary act of becoming distinct. Even within a bouquet, every stem must eventually hold itself.
