The Celebration

The Celebration is abundance at full volume. The Collective gathers around a table overflowing with flowers, fruit, wine, bodies, masks, and ornament, transforming a rough interior into something between a banquet, a family portrait, and a queer still life. Here, excess is not frivolous; it is a declaration of presence. Flowers are worn, held, scattered, and offered alongside food and drink, reminders that the things we use to mark our most important moments are also the things that cannot last. That tension gives the celebration its weight. To gather is to know that every gathering eventually ends. To love is to accept that something can be both beautiful and temporary. And still, we set the table. We bring the flowers. We make ourselves magnificent. We show up for one another.
