I'm Goin' Down!

This piece is titled "I'm goin' Down!" and its lyrics come from the popular classic "I'm Goin Down" by Norman Whitfield. The version I grew up listening to was a cover by Mary J. Blige on her album "My Life". This piece also shares a loose connection with the story of Icarus, the boy who flew too close to the sun. This piece focuses on the exact moment when a precious dream slips away from you, leaving you to your descent. This in-between period can be a place where you feel like you are left twisting in the wind, with no hope or direction in sight. How can we find a sense of peace to keep our spirits grounded when you feel like your whole world is going upside down?
